Complete Rebranding as Lake Chelan Health

by Dennis Rahm

Lake Chelan Community Hospital will soon be known as Lake Chelan Health. The new name as well as a new logo have been approved and a complete rebranding effort will be undertaken over the next few months.

Hospital Communications and Wellness Manager Augustin Benegas said the goal of the new name was to make it shorter in hopes that the complete name will be used and recognized. The logo is designed to be crisp and clean and incorporates five diamonds.

Benegas explains the diamonds represent a connection to the human body and to people’s health.

The hospital is also getting closer to finalizing a Chelan location for their new Express Care Clinic. The clinic will offer in-person and telehealth services seven days a week with expanded evening hours Monday through Friday. Plans call for Express Care to be in operation by the end of the year. The hospital is working on hiring staff for the clinic and is currently negotiating with two Advanced Care Nurse Practitioners to run the Express Care program.

Meanwhile, the hospital’s primary care Lake Chelan Clinic will cease operations at the end of October. Patients of the clinic have been sent letters detailing the impending changes that will also include Specialty Care services being operated out of the current Lake Chelan Clinic location on Johnson Avenue.

Patients of the Lake Chelan Clinic have been notified their medical records can be transferred to a new primary care provider at no cost. Questions can be directed to the hospital’s Health Information Management Department by calling (509) 726-6013.
