Lady Trojans Emerge with the Win

The Manson Trojan Volleyball team took on the undefeated Lake Roosevelt Raiders on Tuesday for a league match up and the Trojans won in 3 sets.
The win puts Manson’s league record at 5-0 (10-2 overall) as they navigate the second half of the regular season schedule. Set scores in Tuesday’s match were 25-20, 25-21 and 25-15. The Trojans played tough, high energy volleyball as a team, with everyone contributing greatly.
Game Stats & Highlights:
- Behind the service line: Maycee Ward served 20/20 with 3 aces, Devyn Smith served 10/10, Briseida Landa served 9/9 and Lauren Soliday added 11/13 with 2 aces.
- Megan Clausen led the team in kills with 10, Josephine Thompson added 6 and Maycee Ward had 5. Josephine Thompson led the team in digs with 8.
- Megan Clausen had 4 solo blocks on the night.
- Maycee Ward and Josephine Thompson led the team in Serve Receive.
In JV action: Manson won 2 sets to 1 with set scores of 18-25, 25-21 and 15-11. In C team action, the Trojans dominated with set scores of 25-10 and 25-7.
- The Trojans had another strong serving night, with 6 servers hitting 100%. Ali Adame (11/11 with 2 aces), Bryanna Harris (11/11 with 1 ace), Jenny Cesar-Alonso (7/7), Stefany Luna (6/6), Melanie Marin (4/4 with 1 ace) and Teresa Venegas (2/2 with 1 ace).
- Maya Hannah led the team in kills with 9, Lexi Stotko added 5 and Jenny Cesar-Alonso added 3.
- Melanie Marin led the team in digs with 7 and Ali Adame and Brenda Alonso added 5 each.
- Melanie Marin, Lexi Stotko and Paige Schoenwald led the team in Serve Receive.
