Trojans Sweep Wahluke and Liberty Bell

The Trojans continued their winning ways this weekend, beating Wahluke and Liberty Bell in 3 straight sets each to bring their season record to 6-0.

Wahluke: Set scores: 25-9, 25-16, 25-21

The Trojans came out hard to start the match, but committed several unforced errors late into the match. The Trojans were able to plug runs out a win, but battled against the scrappy Wahluke team.

Team highlights include Natalee Reyna behind the service line with 26/27, racking up a whopping 8 aces for the Trojans.

Reyna also led the Trojans in digs with 13. Maycee Ward , Mackenzie Marble and Lauren Soliday each added another 5.

Ward led the team in kills with 8 while Marble added 7 and Barbie Espinoza and Reyna racked up 5 respectively.

Setter Josephine Thompson had a great match with 24 assists and 4 kills of her own.

Liberty Bell: Set scores: 25-18, 25-16, 25-8

The Trojans battled some long rallies to come up with the big win against Liberty Bell, playing consistent defense and cutting down on their unforced errors from earlier in the day.

Leading the team for the Trojans was Maycee Ward with an impressive 12 kills and a solo block.

Kendall Petre added 5 kills, Mackenzie Marble and Barbie Espinoza each added 4 while Barbie added a solo block and two block assists.

Setter Josephine Thompson had a stellar match, putting up 25 assists, 4 kills, 19 digs and a solo block along with a block assist.

Libero, Lauren Soliday picked up 15 digs for the Trojans and Mackenzie Marble added 6, spectacular digs and saves.

The Trojans were able to get into a rhythm and played a great day of volleyball!
