Trojans win nail-biter over Lake Roosevelt

The Trojans extended their 2018 season and punched their ticket to State after a nail biting win against Lake Roosevelt in Round 2 of District Playoffs on Thursday.

The teams battled 5 sets with scores of 25-13, 17-25, 25-17, 17-25 and 15-7. It was a true team effort for the Trojans.

Josephine Thompson had 11 kills, Maycee Ward added 10 and Megan Clausen had 7.

Josephine led the team with 16 digs and Megan added 10.

Megan also had 5 solo blocks on the night.

Behind the service line, Megan served 22/24 with 6 aces, Lauren Soliday served 18/19, Josephine served 18/20 and Maycee served 14/16 with 4 aces.
Devyn Smith was the only 100% server with 9/9.

Next stop:

The Trojans will travel to Yakima next week to compete in the 2018 State Championship Tournament at the Sun Dome. Games will take place Thursday, November 8 and, if we win one, we play Friday, November 9.

We are so proud of this team- they play with such contagious energy and effort- it’s hard not to root for them!!
