The Trojans traveled to Pateros for a non- league single-header. Manson 12  Pateros 6

Jose Pascasio climbed the hill for the Trojans and Avery Thompson was the starting catcher.  Pascasio gave up 0 runs, 0 hits and had 5 strikeouts. Pitching in relief was Caden Beazley and Parker Schoenwald.

Defensively the Trojans played very well.  Turning in great plays was short stop Caleb Rossell, Caden Beazley while at 3rd base made a great catch on a hard hit line drive, and the catcher Avery Thompson picked off a runner at 2nd base with a throw from his knees.

Offensively the Trojans ran the bases with confidence and scored in bunches.  Avery Thompson had a hot bat with 4 hits-two being doubles.  Parker Schoenwald added a nice double in the 4th inning.

Caleb Rossell was also on fire and had three hits and an intentional walk. With Rossell’s last trip to the plate in the 6th inning, he sent a fastball deep into the Pateros’ evening skyline, and with a thunderous clang of the bleachers in center field, hit his first home run of the season.

Trojans with hits: Avery Thompson (4), Caleb Rossell (3) HR, Parker Schoenwald.

The Trojans have an overall record of 8-5 going into the final three games of the season.

The Trojans’ next scheduled game is a league double-header at Lake Roosevelt on Thursday, May 2nd starting at 3:30pm.

Followed by the final game of the regular season for the Trojans and Senior Night is a single-header on Tuesday, May 7th against Waterville starting at 4:30pm at Singleton Park in Manson.
