Friendly golf competition kicks off holiday weekend

Twenty-three ladies had a great day for golf on Thursday right before the holiday weekend. Once again, there were plenty of birdies and chip-ins to go around and a bunch of ties.
This week’s competition was Monthly Medal (low gross and net by division and fewest putts.)
The winners were:
Division 1:
- Low Gross: First Place, April Talley, 87. Second Place, Barb Rayburn, 89.
- Low Net: First Place, Linda Reister, 70. Second place was a tie between Kari Burrows and Carol Ferguson, 76.
- Fewest Putts: A three-way tie between April Talley, Linda Hahn and Kari Burrows, 31.
Division 2:
- Low Gross: First Place, Nancy Judson, 95. Second Place was a tie between Susie Clausen and Maggie Stalcup, 101.
- Low Net: First Place, Sherry Ochsner, 73. Second Place was a tie between Karen Holst and MaryJo Duruz, 76.
- Fewest Putts: Nancy Judson, 30.
Division 3:
- Low Gross, First Place, Judy Johanson, 102. Second Place, Nancy Parker, 114.
- Low Net: First Place was a tie between Bernie Rayner and Pam Zent, 74.
- Fewest Putts: Judy Johanson, 29.
Birdies: April Talley on hole 11, Jan Artim on hole 18, Barb Rayburn on hole 14.
Chip-ins: Nancy Judson had two on holes 6 and 16, Jane Storms on hole 15, Joni Dedo on hole 15.
Next week’s competition is “Mystery 9” (Pro shop will draw 9 holes after we tee off. Your gross score of these holes less ½ your handicap). Please remember that our tee time is 8:00 am. Please check in by 7:30. And wear your masks in the pro shop.
