Hot weather leads to hot irons!

There’s nothing like a bunch of women with hot irons in their hands! Meaning golf irons, hit long, and hopefully, straight.  This week many players traveled to Leavenworth for the Alpine Invitational Ladies Golf Tournament held on Wednesday. It is such a beautiful course, full of wildlife, a fast moving river and evil trees that seem to jump out of nowhere in front of your golf ball. There were lots of winners from our club and a fun time was had by all.

Back in Chelan on Thursday, eighteen players competed in Medal Play (low gross and net of field, low net by division).

  • Low Gross of Field: Anne Minden, 94.
  • Low Net of Field: Toni Berry, 71.

  • Division 1: First place, low net, Jaclyn Starr-Evans, 84.
  • Division 2: First place, low net, Anne Britt Gagnon, 72. Second place, low net, Susie Clausen, 74.
  • Division 3: First place, low net, was a tie between Judy Johanson and Barb D’ettorre, 72.

Chip-in Birdies were made by Nancy Judson on hole 12 and Nancy Parker on hole 13. Chip-ins were also made by Debbie Honsberger on hole 3  Barb D’ettorre on hole 1.

Next week’s competition is All Fours (gross score of all Par 4 holes less ½ handicap). Our tee time is 8:30. Please check in by 8:00 am.
