Ladies Golf Club Awards Scholarships to Manson Student Athletes

The Lake Chelan Golf Club, Ladies Division proudly announces the 2026 recipients of the Ladies Club Golf Scholarships. This scholarship is awarded to a senior girl on the Chelan and Manson golf team who plans to further her education after high school.

If there are no golf team members, the association has chosen to award the scholarships to student athletes. Such is the case this year for Manson High School.

The scholarship is also based on academic achievement, extra curricular activities and community involvement. This year’s winners of $1,700 each are, Phinley Teague and Maria Guadalupe Villasenor.

Phinley is the daughter of Jarred and Heather Teague. Phinley has maintained a 3.4 grade point average while participating in multiple school activities, athletics, and community projects. She plans to attend Stephan F. Austin University to study Kinesiology/Physical Therapy as well as being a member of the Beach Volleyball team.

Maria is the daughter of Everado Villasenor Orozco and Maria Ernestina Figueroa. Maria has maintained a 3.83 grade point average while participating in multiple school activities, athletics, and community projects. Maria plans to attend The University of Washington to study Public Health and Biochemistry.

The Lake Chelan Golf Club, Ladies Division congratulates Phinley and Maria and thank them for being such wonderful ambassadors for promoting women in athletics.
