Chelan vs. Lynden Christian

Chelan Boys Basketball Head Coach, Tony Callero, will lead his team into the 1-A State Tournament this weekend with a tough opening round matchup against number two ranked Lynden Christian.
Chelan earned their spot in the Tourney with a 70-58 win over Lakeside last Friday. Junior Tev Uttech led all scorers with 26 points while junior Luca Faletto chipped in with 25 points.
The Lyncs boast a record of 22-1 with their only loss occurring in their second game of the season versus 4-A Lake Stevens. Chelan is ranked 4th in State with an overall record of 22-4.
The Goats are making their second straight State appearance and hope to improve on last year’s sixth place finish. Win or lose, Chelan will advance to the Round of 12 that begins next week at the Sundome in Yakima.
Saturday’s contest against Lynden Christian will be played at Lynden High School with a 4:00 p.m. tipoff.
The winner will advance to the quarter finals and play on Thursday in Yakima. The loser will play Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Sundome in a loser out contest.
