New festival debuts in downtown Pateros this afternoon

You are invited to participate in the launch of a new festival today. Tacotoberfest will make its official debut today, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in downtown Pateros.
The streets will be lined with taco vendors battling for the thousand dollar grand prize, winner’s trophy, and bragging rights! There will be a Mariachi band, piñatas, bouncy houses, dancing horses and more.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Traditional Taco, Best People’s Choice Taco and Best Specialty Taco. One lucky taco-master will take home the $1,000 grand prize, along with a traveling trophy. Come in your Halloween costume if you want – there are also prizes for best adult and kids costumes.
