Three days of chipseal work on US 2/97 between Baker Flats and Orondo

Three days of wheelrut chipseal work on US 2/97 between Baker Flats and Orondo begins Tuesday. A maintenance crew with the Washington State Department of Transportation will begin work on Tuesday morning near the roundabout in Baker Flats and proceed north toward Orondo. Work is scheduled Tuesday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Motorists can expect flagger controlled traffic with pilot car and significant delays. During non-working hours, a speed advisory of 35 m.p.h. will be in place through the work zone, which may include areas of loose gravel and rough road. Motorcyclists should use caution.

Travelers between Chelan and Wenatchee are encouraged to take the Chelan County side of the river, using Hwy. 97-A, to avoid delays.
