Thursday scheduled pick ups will be done today

Folks who normally are part of the Thursday recycle schedule probably noticed your full bin is still sitting in place. City Public Works asks you to keep it there another day!
A mechanical issue derailed the truck yesterday. However, the part came in late in the afternoon and the mechanic stayed late, so the truck is back on route today. They will be trying to cover both Thursday and Friday’s route in one day.
Otherwise, it will be another two weeks before your bin is emptied.
The City apologizes for the confusion and would like to thank you for your patience.
