The Goats punched their second consecutive ticket to State by defeating the Deer Park Stags 5-0 at Mountain Goat field on Saturday.

It was a great day for baseball, with the overflow crowd basking in sunshine and rooting on the Hometown Goats. They didn’t have to wait long, as leadoff man, Cade Christopherson launched Deer Parks first offering into deep center field for a home run. The Goats added runs in the third, highlighted by Colt Corrigans RBI double to left, and one more in the 6th to round out the scoring.

The real story of the day was Connor Wilsons masterpiece on the mound….a complete game shutout, striking out 7, and allowing only 3 hits. The junior lefthander had the Stags offense off balance all afternoon to earn his 4th win of the year.

The Goats now travel to Franklin Pierce HS in Tacoma to face off against Hoquim . Game time Saturday will be 10:00AM

GO GOATS!!!!!
