“Promise Scholarship” added to the Lake Chelan Rotary Club’s Awards

Lake Chelan Rotary honored the club’s 2018 Scholarship recipients at the June 12, 2018 lunch meeting.

The Lake Chelan Rotary Club is proud of the community and international service they have provided since their charter in 1926. Rotary meets every Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. in Sorrento’s Ristorante at Tsillan Cellars.

CHS Freshman Billie Corter and MHS Freshman Sam Capi receive $500 Rotary scholarships!

The Lake Chelan Rotary Club has created and awarded their first ever “Promise Scholarship” for freshmen. Billie Corter of Chelan and Sam Capi of Manson were nominated by school staff as a freshman who demonstrates great potential.
A committee chaired by Rotarian Mary Watson (pictured with Corter) interviewed several nominees for the final selection.
Corter and Capi will now be considered part of the Rotary throughout high school and may earn a total of $2500 for the college of their choice upon graduation.
Congratulations, Billie and Sam for your hard work this year and thank you, Rotary, for your inspiring service, generosity, and support of local schools!
