Orondo Fire responded just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24 to a wildland fire across from Turtle Rock in Douglas County. The fire was several acres in size within minutes of the first report, spreading quickly up steep hillsides. Fire crews from Orondo, East Wenatchee, Wenatchee, Waterville, Department of Natural Resources, and the Bureau of Land Management were on the scene. Crews remained on the fire overngith with DNR heading a Type III team to coordinate fire attack today.
